Brief Description: Primed main spar flanges & installed few rivets
Didn't have much time for the shop today since the Ohio Valley Rvators scheduled a UFO to Zellienople, PA (PJC). One of the RVators recently completed an RV-12 so everyone wanted to check it out. It was a little bumpy on the flight home but overall, a nice day.
The RV-12 was outstanding as were the RVs that flew into the event. I have included three pics below (the RV-12, RV-8, and RV-4). There were some nice examples on the ramp of other RV models but this software limits me to three pictures.
Upon returning from the UFO, I did have time to mask off the main spar and prime the flanges where all the countersinking was done. This should help protect the spar where there was any bare metal from the countersink cutter. I also installed a few rivets in the ribs that are located at the tank attach nutplates. These are the flush rivets at the extreme forward edge of the flange which are covered up when the tank is installed.
