The Aileron push rods were cut to length and I tried to rivet them with unsuccessful results. I decited to replce the aluminum rivets with carbon steel rods 1/8 diam. Tig Welded them with the same welding rod as the pushrod and radius welded the flange. My friend welded them since its been years since ive held a torch. Results were exactly what I was looking for. The final product will be etch primed only for inspections in the future.
