Prepped an Started Glassing the fwd part of the windscreen, I took great care in cutting and trimmig the Plexi, that the gap between the plexi and the fuse is very small so filling the gap with fiberglass was simple!
I used Electrical tape to get the contours smoothe and it also leaves a good clean edge!
Once the front lowe was cured,
I slid the canopy forward into its closed position so I can use it as a form.
i worked on the top roll bar section. It is 3" glass tape roll which was the perfect size for this job, I dont have to cut strips and it is strong enough for the job. I did 5 layers and 6 on the corners. I did it in 2 lays. 2 layers to get the form. I then sanded it smooth, then layed up 3 more for thickness and strength. I cut the fwd part of the canopy skirt so it fits snug behind the faring.
