Brief Description: Making the dual brake mounting plates 1
Sam Hoskins gave me a reference (http://www.longezpush.com/chapter 13) in regards to making the mounts for the master cylinders as I was having trouble with floxing. I emailed the owner (Wade) who gave me permission to use his method for the anchor nuts.
I started by making the phenolic backing plate for the K1000-5 lock nuts. Then I drilled the master cylinder bolts holes. I then inserted an old mounting bolt so that I could spot the rivet holes after I positioned the lock nut. Using a 3/16 drill I marked through the rivet hole and then removed the backing plate and drilled the marked holes stepping from 1/8 to 3/16.
