Brief Description: Making the dual brake mounting plates 3
Today I dry fitted the master cylinder mounts into position on the left side of the fuselage fwd of the left console and either side of the NACA vent. I cleaned the area with 180 grit wet and dry then cleaned up with acetone. I removed the master cylinders from the mounts and applied some dry micro (West systems 410) to smooth the radii and edges prior to mounting them and covering them with 2 BID as per Sam Hoskins method (http://samhoskins.blogspot.com.au/2008/02/dual-brakes.html). Sam does not have the NACA vent on his aircraft so I am fitting the master cylinders at best fit. I asked Sam for permission to use his dual brake mod late last year and he was hapy for me to use it.
