I had a conversation with Colin Morrow the Approved Person about the project and what I need to cover off on to ensure that things are correct. I asked Colin about the fuel lines and whether I should used standard aircraft hoses for the fuel system rather than the 1/4 aluminium tubing as stated in the builders manual. Clon suggested using 3/8 tubing and Teflon fuel resistant hoses for the flexible joins as it would give more fuel flow and be lighter than convential fuel hoses.
I also caught up with Lindsay Danes the technical councillor about him doing an intial inspection on the project. I told Lindsay about the electric Aileron trime and how I was going to build it. He suggested using the trim design from the Long eze as it appeared simpler than trying to mount the electric motor and running gear.
