Brief Description: Dry fitting and setting rigging
Learned how NOT to make control rods. I thought that it would be good to have a locknut on the male ends of the aileron push rods. I fitted and trimmed the push rods so that I had 25 degrees up and down in accordance with the builders manual. Then I realised that I would need to lock the locknut in some way. After realising the I could not lock it to the rod end I decide that I would secure it with a bolt (as per the manual). I found that in order to set the proper travels I had made the push rods too short. Not happy Jan.
