During the initial construction of the fuselage somehow the fwd nose former was misaligned. There was a considerable difference looking aft from in front of the aircraft. Upon examination it was determined that the error would be so aerodynamically significant that we may not have been able to trim out the excessive yaw forces that would have been created. So.....I was forced with the decision to completely disassemble the entire fwd nose section in order to realign the nose back to centerline. There are some added benifits to this extra work however. The decline in the foot well former was lengthened to lower the pilots feet another couple of inches, basically creating more of a bend in the knees when sitting in the fwd seat. Also, the lower skin will now wrap arount the sides and terminate at the lower longerons instead of forming a less perfect corner lap joint at the lower corner.
