Brief Description: Fitting Right wing to fuse center section
The powder coated blue main spar attach brackets (front and rear of main spar) were cut out on the hurco. Here we drilled the brackets to fit the spar from the fuse center section. We took the time to ensure we had exactly a 1.5 degree dihedral.
The rear spar needed some furring out to meet the same thickness as the center section rear spar. So I designed two tapered finger rear spar reinforcement flanges. They stack on top of each other to equal the 1/4" I needed to flush the two rear spars. It came out very nice if I do say so my self. This design is much stronger than the original RV-3 wing spar design.
