Brief Description:  Forward Bottom Skin

Reva came out this morning and we shot all the 426-3's in the forward bottom skin. About the time we got done with that, Jim came over and we shot the 4's in the lower longerons and the forward ends of the outboard seat ribs. I couldn't find anything I hadn't done so we rolled over the canoe!!!
It seems like a huge milestone to me. I stopped and had a little lunch then went to work on the aft deck. It seems like these kits are put together so well, that if the edges of the aft deck are lined up with the longerons, there is no twist. I had my digital level on the F904 and the aft deck and it oscillated between 0.0 and 0.1 several times so I called it good and drilled it. I then fabbed the spacers/elevator stops. I have to do a little research and make sure these get riveted in now. It says to rivet the aft deck and nothing else rivets with them. They do get holes drilled for the horizontal stabilizer later but it looks like they should be riveted now.

Tim Pethol (8A) stopped over this morning and used my drill press. He is very good at giving words of encouragement.

Also, I borrowed Jim's camera so I could take some pictures. Maybe I'll have our's back this week.
