Brief Description:  Finished drilling longerons and FW

Today I re-checked the position of the firewall and finished drilling foward of the F-904 bulkhead. Then I marked the firewall per the plans and began drilling it. It went well even though the stainless steel firewall is very tough to drill. I got it done and removed the F-972 bottom skin and marked it for the landing gear holes. I'm not too sure about the template as the rivet holes don't match from the template to the bottom skin so I'll do a little research on it. In the meantime, I started working on the aux. longerons, between the F904 and the firewall. I got both F-713's drilled and in place and started making the F-719B attachment angles for the F719's. It's really beginning to look like a fuselage now. I really like this part. It's all the deburring and dimpling that gets old. I ordered some sample material from Classic Aero that we hope to use for the seats. That will give me an idea about color for the interior. Once this is all match drilled, I'll prime and paint the parts that show in the interior. I'm supposed to meet with the Sherwin Williams rep this week to pick some primer and sealer and paint. I want to use what they recommend for a "paint system". I think that's better than priming and then spraying with spray cans.
