I have returned from a trip to Iowa with my son to pick up some more shop equipment. An Uncle of mine, whom I learned an immeasurable amount from when I was young, is in poor health and has been after me for quite some time to come up there and clean out his shop. My good fortune includes a 13" metal lathe, vertical milling machine and a drill press amoung other things. I have gotten a wealth of hand and power tools from him that he no longer will use and he wanted me to have them. I can't thank him enough.I treasure these items more than anyone will ever know. I so look forward to teaching my son how to use them. He's a fairly accomplished wood worker but has never had the opportunity to work with any kind of metal. Now's his chance. Then, when I'm through with them, they will have a good home still in the family.
