Brief Description:  More fuselage

This evening, after my son and wife left, Reva came out and helped me take the center section apart from the aft section. We had both eaten too much so we decided to work a little while. We started out deburring the aft fuselage skins where I had drilled the longerons. She then dimpled all the holes in the aft part while I deburred and countersunk the first longeron. All that's left to do before priming is the aft canopy decks and the other longeron. If the weather will cooperate, I will get the priming done so I can start putting it back together.

While I was looking things over, I have to decide about the baggage floors and whether to do them like the plans and pop rivet them in place or use nut plates or nut serts. I happen to have alot of #8 nut serts made for this thin of metal and I may use them. Since the ribs are already riveted to the bottom skin, I would probably buy a ream of the proper size to ensure that the holes are round for the nut serts. My experience tells me that they only hold as good as the hole size is drilled so I think a ream would be the ticket.
