Brief Description:  Flap Assembly and TC visit

I started out by getting the nose ribs riveted to the spar, and followed the instructions carefully. After the nose ribs the main ribs were riveted in. All were squeezed with the exception of the three rivets that hold the inboard rib to the spar and the FL906L. Those had to be shot and bucked. At noon I left for the airport. The Air Force Safety Officer from Fort Rucker came to the airport to talk about their use of the field and gave us a good overview of the MOA's and restriced areas in our area. After the meeting at the airport Russell Sharpe, who is my Technical Advisor, came out for his second visit. We talked about wiring and closing up the wings. I showed him my log and he suggested that I take even more pictures of the "insides" of things before I close them up. He said that most DAR's would like to see the "insides" of things if possible. When Russell left I put the nose skins on and put the pulled rivets in the nose ribs. I finished the day by putting the flap in the cradles and put a few rivets through the top skin to spar. I'm not going to work in the morning (Sunday) as a couple friends and I are going golfing. The next session, hopefully, I can complete the riveting of the left flap.
