Brief Description:  Leading Edge and Right Tank

Today I finished riveting the leading edge on. I put LP4-3 and 4-4 pop rivets in the inboard three ribs after much searching and finally e-mailing Van's. I did find out the the shear and tension strength of the LP rivets is AT LEAST as high as the solid rivets. Mainly because the mandrel on these rivets is made from steel. Anyway, that's what I did and I'm okay with it. Then I finished riveting the spanwise rivets. I used the pnuematic squeezer and it worked like a charm. When finished I prepared the right tank skin and ribs. I had already fabbed the attach brackets when I did the left tank, so this is going much faster. I fit it to the wing, removed and match drilled all the holes. Finally I countersunk half of the holes that hold the baffle and quit for the day. The next session will be getting the rest of the parts ready for the tank and hopefully dimpling it.
