Brief Description:  Right Elevator

Riveted the bottom skin on the right elevator spar. Used a combination of A426 and pop rivets per the plans. Wish there were some way to use A426's on all of it. They sure look better than the pop rivets. Reva came out to help me when she got home from work. It sure is more fun when she's there. I let her squeeze some rivets on the tip ribs on the right elevator then I completed riveting them. All that's left on the right one is the trailing edge and the tips. We then riveted the stiffners on the top of the left skin and then riveted the spar to the top skin. It was a lot easier this time. I guess practice makes perfect. I've found that the air pressure is really important when shooting rivets. I've erred on the too little side up until tonite. I've found that 40# for A426-3 rivets works the best. Now if I can only remember it. Probably won't do much the rest of the week as I have to travel to New York City on business on Wednesday. I checked the pro number with ABF Freight today and according to them the wings haven't shipped. I'll give them a couple more days, and if they haven't shipped by then, I'll send an e-mail. I was billed for them almost 2 weeks ago.
