The douber and access plate used are available from Van's as VA-195C and VA-195D, which are the doubler and hatch cover used for the stall warning system on the wings. The forward edge of the doubler is located 3.2" aft of the cutout for the middle rudder hinge, with the top inner edge of the doubler plate aligned with the top part of the middle rudder hinge cutout. Matched drilled the 3/32" rivet holes for the doubler, placing clecos after each hole is drilled. Then matched drilled the 1/8" holes for the access plate screw holes, installing clecos. Then removed the doubler plate and cleco'd the access plate to the rudder skin and draw the outline of the plate.
Next, I need to cut out the hole for the access plate.
