Today I placed the horizontal stab on the bench & inserted bolts through all of the hinges so I can better gauge the alignment of the left & right halves of the elevator. The right side skin will allow alignment of the elevator horns or a symmetrical inboard trailing edge, not both. I think the skin has been folded ever so slightly askew. The outboard end is perfect but the inboard end avoids perfection by about 0.5mm. It doesn't sound much but the skin must twist to fit the holes in the ribs. I have chosen, reluctantly, to accept a droopy inboard trailng edge as I believe it will present a lesser negative effect than having the horns misaligned by about 10mm. No time to finish riveting as I'm of to work tomorrow morning.
