This week I spent one more day with Richard at the paint shop sanding the horizontal stabiliser, I required 4 hours to complete sanding the primer on one side of one half of the stab! That paint is VERY tough. I've also been continuing with the wiring of the avionics, today I was able to, for the first time, switch on the PFD, MFD & G5 using the backup batteries. I had an issue with the GEA24 not transmitting data to the PFD. So far I've wired only the backup RS232 circuits for the GEA24 & GSU25 (the EIS & AHARS units) but after quite a few hours of head scratching & a software update I was able to get them to talk to each other. Having now confirmed the backups work, I'll start on the CAN bus wiring.
