Today I manufactured the ground bus for the VPX. The bus is 2mm thick 6061-T6 with 20 holes drilled and tapped for 4.0mm connection screws plus two 4.0mm holes that will be used for the insulated mounts. The bus supports only the internal needs of the VPX so no requirement for heavier material. Stainless steel screws are temporarily installed so I can get on with the wiring, I'll order brass hardware to complete the bus later. I've commenced wiring the VPX switch grounds as that seems to be a straight forward place to start what will undoubtedly be a major task.
