Brief Description: Installed Wheels to Check Alignment
The main undercarriage fibreglass bow is not symmetrical, the right side axle mounting area is thicker & has a different camber angle (too much) compared to the left. Today I installed the wheels (& axle spacers that would be used if tundra tyres were used). After taking some measurements I discovered it also has different toe angles, out on the right & in on the left. I've been in touch with the factory & have been supplied with the required angles. This will require significant measuring & shimming when the aircraft is assembled & close to maximum weight. I've purchased some 3.18mm thick 6061-T6 sheet to produce new axle spacers as per the latest Sling 2 assembly manual.
