I placed the CO detector above a tray containing a small amount of smouldering paper. The G3X indicated correctly through the caution & warning ranges with corresponding CAS messages. The iPad "Aithre Connect" app also operated correctly via blutooth with audio messages produced that are heard through the blutooth connected headset. All good.
