All back-up power output wires from the IBBS (red insulation colour for ease of identification) are paralleled together for redundancy and power sharing.
The PFD, MFD, GEA24, GSU25 & GMU11 all receive backup power via their respective "power 2" input pins.
The IBBS is a 3Ah unit. In order to conserve back-up battery capacity if required, the MFD can be switched off via the "MFD" switch on the instrument panel. (This is a 2 pole switch that controls "power 1" from the VPX & "power 2" from the IBBS to the MFD. VPX control & monitoring is via the PFD.)
