Today I drilled & clecoed the cowl halves together, the edge/joggle fit is not perfect but I think some body filler will be able to make it more acceptable. The rear of the cowls cannot be clecoed together when on the fuselage as the rear edges sit on the firewall rivet heads so the top cowl will be trimmed first. I've made a tool to find the edge of the fuselage skin under the cowl & using it, marked the line to cut. The cowl is centred on the spinner with a 3mm gap & also the lower edges are an equal height against the fuselage sides. We have a busy few days ahead with family in Sydney then I have a dental appointment I'm not looking forward to so the first cut of the cowl will hopefully be early next week.
