I was unable to align the bottom row of holes for the side/bottom skin lap joint so bit yet another bullet & removed the firewall which allowed the skins to overlap as designed. Riveted the skins then with the firewall reinstalled the problem shifted to the upper holes in the side skin so off again with the firewall to adjust its lower corner flanges. That worked & it's now clecoed back in position & very tight.
