Brief Description:  Rear Fuselage

Completed priming the spacers for the side skins, removed rib 1 & skin 014 (inner top skin) then installed a countersunk rivet in each of the holes that are inaccessible because of the canopy rails. I riveted the splice of channels 007 left & right, they were difficult, requiring the use of the offset riveting tool. Next I installed the rib1/skin1 assembly. As with all skins, it took quite some time to finesse into position but in the end it fits quite well however, in keeping with the tradition of my kit, 3 holes are missing from the skin at the position of the upper longeron "corners". I compared that with my factory built aircraft & it has 2 of the 3 positions riveted. Because the skin is fitted well I won't remove it, I'll plot the position of the corresponding holes in the longerons & drill from the outside as access is impossible to match drill from inside.
