Brief Description:  Excuses

Part of the reason for me doing no work on my kit over the last 6 months is that I have purchased a factory built version of the aircraft! It's a brand new LSA with a Rotax 912 ULS spinning a WhirlWind ground adjustable prop, single Garmin G3X Touch plus G5 standby instrument along with a GTR200 VHF radio & GMC305 autopilot controller. A 10.5" iPad Pro is on a RAM mount to serve as instruments for the R/H side (via blutooth from the G3X) as well as giving certified VFR charting.
I did some training with Doug Field of "Stick 'n Rudder" ( sticknrudder.com.au ) after he took delivery for me from the Aussie Sling agent Errol van Rensberg ( gap.aero ). GAM was brave enough to travel with me on the flight home, 3 sectors covering 6 hours of flying from S.E. QLD to the NSW Southern Highlands.
It's a very long story as to how this all came about but it is suffice to say I do intend to complete my kit whilst still working & flying this aircraft. Still a lot of taildragger practice required.
