I've been away with work on two very long trips since my last log entry and once home from them, started catching up on some long over due household chores. The grass was absolutely out of control so that has required many hours over a couple of days to trim down. It's very nice living in an old timber house but that does require lots of maintenance too, we've had some decking & balustrading replaced & I've been filling & priming that ready for paint. The area in which we live is well known for its Tulip festival & our house has a few tulip themed accents, stained glass & decorative panels around the decks, etc. I spent today at the scroll saw reproducing some of those panels to replace others that had rotted. Our property's entry gates are solar powered electric & I've also spent a couple of days upgrading that system as it has struggled to provide enough power during previous winter months, hopefully an additional PV panel & new controller will do the trick. That's the long way of saying I haven't been near the Sling for 3 weeks but hopefully I'll get at least 2 days in the workshop next week before heading back to work.
