Brief Description:  Flarm

I thought I was going to get full days in the workshop today & tomorrow however work has once again interfered with my time off, I will be in the simulator tomorrow so I'll need to do some study this afternoon. I did manage to drill holes in the bottom skin for the external FLARM antenna.
"Power FLARM Core" is an air traffic detection system that will detect & display air traffic on the EFIS screens, it will also give an aural warning via the intercom. Aircraft broadcasting ADS-B, Mode C & S transponder equipped aircraft that are under ground RADAR interrogation and aircraft that are FLARM equipped are all displayed. FLARM is a GPS based traffic system commonly used in gliders. In addition to the FLARM antenna on the bottom of the fuselage, another FLARM antenna will be placed in front of the vertical stabiliser under the fibreglass fairing, a GPS antenna will be mounted in the upper fuselage & an ADS-B antenna will be installed on the bottom skin to complete the system.
