GAM once again travelled here today, thankyou. I have decided to copy a minor modification from Bob Z in Florida by cutting the centre console left side aft skin to give additional access to the flap motor. That will require a doubler to be made up & additional rivnuts installed so having devised a plan for that we split up & GAM did some painting whilst I installed some rivnuts. We then riveted the centre console mounting channel in place. The flap motor mount was interfering with the front flanges of the forward console skins so we provided some relief for that by removing a small amount of material from the flanges, primer was then applied to the area. The main spar carry through now fits better, ready for riveting I think. Not a lot of visual progress for the hours spent but lots of forward planning achieved.
