GAM & I today had a very busy one installing the left fuel tank, lots of trial and error. As mentioned previously, PGC & I had our tanks assembled at the factory as an extra cost option. The tank has 5 "Z" section brackets that attach the tank to the shear web of the main spar utilising AN3 bolts and anchor nuts, we had great difficulty installing these bolts as the anchor nuts had been installed slightly misaligned at the factory. Once that was sorted with the Dremel tool, things started to move along. I enlisted PGC for an opinion on how to improve the fit of the tank/outer skin lap joint and he came up with a suggestion that worked. I must say a big thankyou to both GAM & PGC for their invaluable help over the last 2 days, this part of the build would be impossible to complete on my own, thankyou Gents.
