After much studying and fiddling with the cowl and ht eairbox, we decided that the airbox needed to move aft an inch to get enough room on the front to allow a flexable connector between the cowl inlet and the airbox snout. After Gary & Brenda left for Georgia, I cut the airbox and tacked the flange in it's new position.
