I measured and marked the tie down spacer for trimming and cutting. I marked out five spacers even though I only need four of them. I don't know what to do with the excess aluminum anyway. I decided to space the sections 1/4" apart so that I could cut between them and then trim down the sides to the cut lines. This should work out well. I also am debating whether to cut the center holes first or after trimming down the spacers.
