Brief Description: Practice kit trailing edge proseal
Before attempting to proseal the main rudder, and after mixing up the proseal, I decided to practice the proseal application on the practice kit.
I should have planned this out before hand, because I realized that I didn't have a straight edge prepared about 1/3rd of the way into this. So a hurriedly cut a lengthof construction anle stock and drilled the holes in it using the rudder wedge as a guide. so some of my rudder wedge holes got nicked by the drill bit as I hurriedly match drilled the holes. No one will care about this but me though....
Once I got the straight edge drilled, I finished prosealing the skins, then slid the rudder wedge in behind the holes, and pulled it into place between the skins. Once the wedge was in place, I clecoed it to the angle stock to ensure that I had a straight edge.
Satisfied I had the process down, I moved on to the rudder.
