This log entry document my work on the rudder horn brace (part R-710). The blogs had reported that this piece was often mismarked and incorrectly trimmed, So I was hesitant to trim the part correctly. The plans and instructions directed the builder to make a tangent line between the shop marks on the brace, and cut along that line. I did as directed by cutting close to the line and grinding down to the line using a belt sander, and finally smoothing the edge with the scothbrite wheel. After completion I noted that the tooling mark left a hole that bisected my tangent line. As such, after counseltation, smoothed the edges of the hole to make something of a straight line along the line. then smoothed out the remaining corners of the rudder horn brace. Following that, I completed match drilling the counterbalance skin to the upper rudder rib and the upper counterbalance rib.
