Brief Description: Right Elevator Counterbalance Work
This log entry records how I trimmed the right elevator counter balance as per the instructions. I first measured and marked the cut lines with a scale and a fine point sharpie. Following the marks, I used a 32TPI band saw blade to cut relieving slots into the counterweight. Then cut across the relieving cuts to remove the excess lead. Following the cuts I used a file to trim the counterweight down to the marks.
-- On further advice I eleceted to order a new counterbalance and wait to trin the wieght after the elevator has been completed.
