After finishing the reinforcement bars for the horizontal stab. I started thinking and remebered the rough edges of the vertical stab reinforcement plate. I didn't want to do a process as involved as I did with the horizontal stab reinforcement bars.
So I simplified the process. To smooth them out I first used the scotch brite wheel to smooth the outside edge of the reinforcement plate. this allowed me to simultaneously break and smooth the edge of the reinforcement plate. Then I also used emory cloth, a 3M Medium sanding block, and 400 grit sandpaper to bring the edges of the plate to a better fnish and remove the rough aluminium from the outside and inside edges of the material. When completed, the reinforcement plate edges had a nice platinum finish like the horizontal stab reinforcement bars.
