I began work on the right elevator. First, I laid out the parts to the elevator and identified where they all went. Then I laid out the skin stiffeners along the length of the elevator skin for cutting and shaping. I discovered that finding the the correct elevator stiffeners between the plans and the supplied bundles is a pain in the neck. Eventually, I was able to figure it out. To find the correct lengths I first fit the elevator spar to the elevator skin and marked the line of where the spar sits to assist in trimming the skin stiffeners. Then I cut the stiffeners from the length of aluminum and marked them at their perscribed length usng the lines on the elevator as a guide. Next up, trim the elevator stiffeners.
