Brief Description: Layup reinforcements for canard
Cut triax sheets, wet-out and completed layups at the corners of the canard cut-out. A space heater (set at 80F) inside the fuse made quick work of the layups. Note, I let them sit for a few hours in the ~60F garage to get gel-like, then trimmed as shown. I used a fresh coat of epoxy to ensure the lay-ups adhered to the fuse walls. In hindsight, I should have used more peel ply on the edges of the lay-up as I ended up with some finger-poking fibers in some spots. Still learning.
Triax layups (between plastic and peel-ply)
'Coulda-shoulda' moved the aft piece a little higher.
