The results are in. It’s a good-bad-good news situation. Good: One tip became perfect. Bad: The other still have twist. Good: As I had to re-split one of the tips, I soon discovered that the flox I put in made it extremely strong. I used 4 times as much time to split it the second time than the first. I think there were basically one strip of fiberglass, some epoxy and gelcoat holding it together originally. So no worries in weakening the wing. The white portion is the flox I put in. If the twist is large it seems you have to use clecos to keep in place while curing.
