I was pretending to tidy up in the garage and came over the elevator fairings. So why not goof around with those for a while. I mean I have been trained........
I marked the flange to fit into the elevator and tested the fit. They fit surprisingly well, but I am not sure how far I should with the fiberglass work. Most builders make that area smooth by glassing over the rivet lines as well. I am tempted, but I am considering keeping both the fairing/aluminum transition and the rivet lines to make them consistent with the removable wing tip fairings.
