After conferring with builder support, I have decided to weld the holes shut and re-drill. I will however need another drilling strategy, if I repeat the previous method (as per plan), I will end up in the exact same situation.
In any case I will need a new set of substructure ribs which will take a few days to arrive. Plenty of time to research my options.
