Brief Description: Elevator, HS and rudder fairings
Working with fiberglass requires to wait 12 hours for the parts to cure so I end up working with many parts in parallel.
The HS fairings that was closed up yesterday got additional layers and fillets on the inside (no pictures).
The elevator fairings got metal strips so that the rivets have something solid to grip onto. If you loom closely you see that the front of the fairing is too thin. I will need to cut it off and start over again.
I applied the template to the lower rudder fairing and marked up for the cut-out. This time the cut-out was 100% perfect. But now I found another annoyance: the front part don't conform very well. I might have to cut them off and make new ones.
