Brief Description:  Sikaflexed in place

As we now were two builders, both with previous sikaflex experience (we did his slider a few months ago), the work progressed very fast.

After test-lifting and clamping the canopy in place, we split the sika primer work between us (flat areas) and worked as emergency wipe-off for each other on the not flat areas.

We learned from earlier sikaflex work that the primer is best applied in one brush stroke, if you go over a second time, the finish will not be as smooth.

Mike also lent me his pneumatic caulking gun which made the application easy as it provided continuous pressure. We then lifted the canopy in place positioned in pace using the markers and executed the clamping and strap-down plan. This included using blocks in strategic locations to provide light holding pressure.

With everything secure I jumped into the cabin, spread the sika with my finger dipped in sika-slick while it was wet and removed the masking around the inside edges. Mike also gave me some of the sika-slick (he had a gallon and you will only need 1 oz).

The hole operation took 3.5 hours. After Mike left, I spent 1/2 hour cleaning up the tools and ogling the canopy.
