After researching on other builder logs and VAF, I came up with a hybrid RV-6 drilling strategy.
1. Drill the holes in the hinge first, then they can be positioned exactly where you want them. 2. Drill a large hole in F-644 rib 3. Use the damaged ribs to hold the hinge blocks in position. They will be reversed, as the first drilling only drills through C-618 blocks and F-745 ribs, using the hinge as guide. Drilling in outboard direction. 4. Put the C-617 and new F-644 in place and drill them using the C-618 blocks, F-745 ribs and hinge as guide. Drilling in inboard direction. The pictures are showing the setup for Step 3, but with the skin removed. Drilling will be done with skin in place to align everything, including the canopy skin.
