Reassemble left aileron w/ balance & hinge
I reassembled the left aileron with the balance arm and piano hinge. I pretty much followed the procedure logged in the last two Kitlog entries, with the following exceptions based on lessons learned on the right aileron:
1) After riveting the ribs, clecoed the top flange, hinge, and angle joints.
2) Clecoed the angle to the front of the aileron.
3) I used the hand rivet tool to pull every other rivet for the angle-aileron front joint.
4) Then I moved the top flange-hinge joint clecoes to the position aligned with the rivets just installed, so that the clecoes would not interfere with the rivet tool when I set the remaining rivets on the aileron front.
5) Last, I set the rivets through the top joint of the aileron top skin-aileron front skin flange joint and the aileron top flange-hinge-angle joint. Photos 1, 2, & 3 show the finished aileron balance arm and hinge.
6) I have misplaced the L-aileron end cap in the interval since I disassembled the ailerons. It will, probably, reqppear, as I finish up the kit, so I'll just store the ailerons and replace the end cap when it reappears.
