Brief Description: Redesign and build doublers to reinforce tie down
1. Talked with Roger, ZAC, regarding reinforcing the tie down ring to compensate for the reduced strength resulting from swapping rib 9's between the left and right wings. He did not think that reinforcement was necessary, but felt that the doublers would make the ring as strong as the design installation.
2. Revised the design for the doublers as shown in Fig. 1.
3. Cut and bent the doublers from a piece of scrap .040 aluminum that was supplied with the kit. See Fig. 2
