Finally after a long trip across the country, I can work again on the XL.
Zenith gave a drawing notebook kit to atendees at 2007 Hangar days. I chose to spend my time at hangar days looking at the airplanes and attending the talks. The nice thing about the notebook kit was that it required drilling and riveting hinges to the aluminum spine and covers. So, it was a good confidence builder for my next "real" task, drilling the horizontal stabilizer for the elevator hinge.
I followed the directions from Zenith and assembled the attractive notebook, as shown in Image 1.
