Brief Description:  Re-assembled stab and riveted

1. Rolled the side and trailing edges of the top skin. I didn't do a very good job. It was tough to control the angle of rolling with the top skin flopping around. Twice the edge roller rolled off the edge, giving a roll right out to the edge of the skin.

2. I used straps to pull the top skin back to the skeleton, as was done gpt the initial assembly on 8/24/07. Using this technique, it was not difficult to get the rivet holes to line up pretty well.

3. Once the skin was nearly in position, I clecoed every 3rd hole on the front spar and the ribs.

4. Inserted the hinge at the top of the rear spar and clecoed it in place.

5. Riveted all the empty holes, except for those on the rear spar.

6. Removed the clecos on the front spar and ribs and riveted.

7. Inserted the end ribs (6T1-1) onto the end of the stab and clecoed every 3rd hole in both top and bottom skins to the end ribs.

8. While the stab was upside down, I used my hand riveter to place the 4 rivets that were too close to the front and rear attachments for my pneumatic riveter.

9. Riveted the end ribs to the top and bottom skins. Then, noticing the holes for the attachments to the end of the spars, I clecoed and riveted there also.

10. I planned the attachment of the end rib extensions (6T1-8) which are used to support the rear of the fiberglass tail tip (FTT). I could not find any definitive guidance in the Dwgs. or in the PAM on how to adjust the angle of attachment for 6T1-8. It appears that it needs to be normal to the web of the rear spar. I'll call ZAC to confirm.

11. It is obvious from reading PAM 6-T-2C that I do not attach the FTT's until after the stabilizer is aligned with the fuselage. So, I'll put the FTT's and 6T1-8's away until that happy day.
