Brief Description:  Begin drilling 3/32 & cleco top rear skin

1. Make some new shims for the rear spar beam. I needed a 43-mm shim at the inboard end and a 44-mm shim at the outboard end to achieve the correct spar angle and

2. Fine tune the alignment of the top rear skin with the rear spar, and clamp.

3. Starting in the middle and working outwards, drill 3/32" & cleco every second hole in the skin to the rear spar, then drill odd holes. See Fig. 1.

4. Use notched 1x2's, clamps, and small shims to adjust rib positions so that the rivet lines on the rib flanges are visible in the most rearward holes on the skin. See Fig. 2. This will have to be repeated for each rib as the holes move forward on the wing.

5. Starting at rib 6 drill & cleco 2 most rearward holes in skin to rib flange. Then repeat in adjoining ribs, working from the center of the wing towards the inboard and outboard ends.

6. After 1st two rows of hole into ribs are done, go back to rib 6 and repeat the sequence, drilling the next two most rearward holes. See Fig. 3 for status at the end of the day.
